TheMall Code of Conduct

TheMall was created to be a fun, safe and secure world where people can meet, shop and play. Our vision is to offer a deeply immersive virtual world in which Guests will create their own avatars and easily navigate through experiential spaces offering many exciting experiences that bridge the real world with the virtual. In our world view, everyone deserves respect and dignity. These principles guide our approach to the virtual spaces we create, and the Code of Conduct below outlines our expectation of behavior for visitors to our virtual worlds in order to create a climate of human dignity and respect for all and to ensure a positive experience.
Some spaces in TheMall are governed by those who lease, own, or operate them, and they may have additional guidelines for behavior within those spaces that must be followed.
Compliance with applicable laws, including local laws, is also required.
Prohibited Activities
Intolerance
Everyone deserves respect, regardless of their country of origin, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or religion. TheMall will not accept derogatory, defamatory, marginalizing, or hateful speech, images, or behavior toward another person. You may share this space with others who come from a different culture than you do; please be respectful of cultural sensitivities.
Harassment & Assault
Non-consensual sexual content or behavior, including forms of sexual assault, are strictly prohibited.
Bullying, abuse, stalking, persistent annoyance, and threats are not permitted.
While in TheMall, take care not to encroach upon the personal space of other avatars and to respect their comfort zones.
Illegal Activities
Prohibited Illegal Activities include:
- Promoting or coordinating acts of physical harm, such as sexual or physical assault, or suicide or self-harm.
- Any form of non-consensual intimate activity, including sharing intimate images of others without consent.
- Violating intellectual property rights, such as improperly using copyrighted or trademarked materials.
- Unlawfully selling, exchanging, or promoting regulated goods.
- Promoting criminal activity, terrorism, violations of Human Rights, or animal cruelty.
- Promoting illegal drug use.
Inappropriate Content
Content condoning or promoting violence, human exploitation, human trafficking, human smuggling terrorism, hate-based organizations, or criminal groups will not be tolerated in TheMall.
Sexually explicit content, real or animated, is not permitted.
Do not promote physical harm, including self-harm, assault, or suicide.
Spamming or objects that interfere with the normal operation of TheMall will not be tolerated.
Do not share personal information about others without their explicit consent.
Deception, including Impersonation
Do not engage in deceptive activities, scams, or fraudulent behavior, including pretending to be another person or misrepresenting yourself. This includes attempting to bypass the age restrictions for TheMall by pretending to be over the age of 18 if you are not.
Promoting or coordinating misinformation that would cause harm to an individual or business will not be tolerated.
These guidelines will be revised as needed.
